ISLAMABAD: Work on the 1,320MW imported coal-based power plant, a flagship project of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, at Port Qasim is underway.
This was stated by Federal Minister of Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal, who was talking to a delegation of Power China led by its President Du Chungou, here at the planning ministry.
The meeting reviewed the progress of the power plant at Bin Qasim and expressed satisfaction over the pace of work on it. Ahsan Iqbal said the federal government was facilitating Power China on the power project.
Du Chungou commended the efforts of the federal government to facilitate Power China and said that this power plant would be completed in record time.
